The OTSC (Over-The-Scope Clip) Reloader
The OTSC Reloader is used to reload a second (or third) clip onto an already mounted application cap of the OTSC System Set if needed in the same treatment session. The OTSC Reloader is not included in the OTSC System Set and has to be ordered separately. The OTSC Reloader consists of an OTSC Reloader preloaded with an OTSC clip. It is available with clips in all sizes and versions.
Reloading Procedure
1. Loosen the thread slightly by pulling the knot at the end of the thread approximately 15 mm out. If the thread is not loosened, there is a risk of the thread being damaged when a second clip is installed.
2. The OTSC Reloader is applied to the OTSC applicator cap in such a way that the contour of the OTSC applicator cap fits into the corresponding cut-out in the OTSC Reloader tip. Make sure the transparent part is not pushed into the yellow part before the OTSC Reloader is in the right position on the OTSC applicator cap.
3. The OTSC clip is applied to the OTSC applicator cap by pushing the OTSC Reloader against the OTSC applicator cap until resistance is felt and the clip is installed on the cap.
4. Then the thread can be pulled slightly back until the knot is close to the cap by turning the hand wheel.
